What do you do when a career in dentistry just isn't floating your boat? You harness your inner entrepreneur and co-found Acis.

Matt takes the business of business structures very seriously. As a CEO, he understands risk and understands why getting it right every time isn't a luxury - it's a given.

His main day-to-day role is stress-relief:
"I reduce risk for professional advisers and save them both time and worry by ensuring they get the results their clients need, when they're needed."

Matt has led the Acis team since 1988 and, when he's not building it as the Alpha dog of the industry, you can find him with his family - he may even be playing guitar badly on one of the Sunshine Coast's gorgeous beaches.

To say Marianne has an eye for detail is putting it mildly. Her singular focus at Acis is to ensure every client order is accurate and any mistakes are picked up before they become a problem. Often the client isn't even aware there has been an issue.

Travelling around Australia for her husband's job certainly has its perks, but now that Kath has found a home in the Acis Client Services crew, she doesn't want to leave!

Danni is all about prompt and accurate service, which she brings with a caring and thorough attitude. Danni looks after company statements, changes to company information and incorporating companies.

Helping customers is what makes Tracey tick. As part of the client services team, she processes orders quickly and efficiently.

Widely acknowledged as a leader in his field, Peter has focussed on the superannuation sector for most of his 30-year career.

Peter's role is to provide high level SMSF services to Acis clients, with a focus on reducing the risk of non-compliance in the establishment and operation of SMSFs.

A good day for him is when he and the team are able to show a client how to achieve something they thought may not be possible.

It surprised us to learn that Peter has a sideline interest as a qualified snake catcher. He says it’s a hobby he’s always loved, and he holds a unique status as the only non-veterinary contributor to the NSW National Parks and Wildlife’s report on the hygiene protocols for the care of captive snakes. By comparison, corralling any SMSF enquiries should be a walk in the park.

Legal Services Director

Emily brought a true international flavour to the Acis team when she joined us several years ago after returning from Asia where she worked for a global investment bank. As Legal Services Director, Emily lives by the mantra that she is there to achieve what clients don’t think is possible or aren’t sure how they can make possible.

Whether it’s providing technical responses to queries, reviewing documents, drawing legal documentation or providing expert scrutiny, Emily’s primary goal is to make the process simple and clear for Acis clients.

She clearly isn't one to relax often, being an active mum to her three kids in addition to her role at Acis. But when Emily does manage to put her feet up, you may find her on the beach or at home with a sneaky glass of red.

At Acis, James is focussed on making sure trusts and superannuation funds are aligned with current legislation, as well as ensuring they’re operating to deliver the greatest benefit to his clients. Formerly with CST Documents, James has been a part of the Acis crew since early 2018.

Out of office hours, James’ scrupulous personality is equally in force. If he’s not doing strenuous exercise he’s working on disproving Wile’s proof of Fermat’s Last Theorem (yeah, we don’t know what that is either!).

Client Services Manager

Clients often comment that Acis seems like a family, and this is no truer than in the case of Belinda Topping.

Belinda joined the company at the suggestion of then boyfriend, now husband, Shane (Acis's Technology Director). She has been with Acis since the mid-90s and now regards many of her clients as friends, always finding time for a catch up when they call in with queries.

She has worked across most of the Acis business, so is in her element overseeing the front office team. Client satisfaction is paramount for Belinda.

Rumour has it that she is also pretty serious about cuisine, and finds time to mix her loves of travel, wine and food with friends and family as often as possible. Do we get an invite, Belinda?

Fiona claims to have worked at Acis for so long she can't remember when she started. She's a vital member of the client services team but has the incredibly stressful added role of chief birthday cake organiser.

Fiona's deep dark secret? Fiona LOVES her job! Really.

The typical day for Fiona entails checking each client order to ensure discrepancies are picked up and corrected quickly, plus answering the phone...always with a smile on her dial. She's dealt with quite a few challenging and unusual requests in her time at Acis, but manages some stress relief over a few glasses of wine after work.

Client Services Officer

Marianne feels lucky to have been offered an opportunity to join Acis, but it seems Acis' clients are the lucky ones. She takes very seriously her role in giving clients the confidence to know that their orders are processed immediately.

When she is not solving customer problems, Marianne can be found cycling on the best routes in Brisbane with her husband, or feet up reading crime novels on her kindle.

Client Services Officer

You've got to be serious about making a difference when you claim that you are "defiantly drawn to working for a family-owned business".

Nicole is serious about ensuring she delivers wonderful customer service from answering phone calls, to providing information and double-checking client orders.

She takes on the responsibility of following up every order to make sure companies are set up correctly and everyone is happy.

Unfortunately for her friends and colleagues, Nicole's big claim to fame (despite the surname!) is that she makes probably the world's worst coffee. Oh well! You can't be great at everything.

Kath spends her days efficiently processing client orders, registering companies and setting up trusts and funds. She commits herself wholeheartedly to delivering the top customer service for which Acis is known. On a weekend, if you can't find Kath relaxing at home with hubby, family and friends, it's safe to say she's out cruising on her motorbike.

Danni is all about prompt and accurate service, which she brings with a caring and thorough attitude. Danni looks after company statements, changes to company information and incorporating companies.

Previously with CST Documents, Danni joined the Acis client services team in 2018 when the businesses merged. She brings diverse and valuable experience, having previously worked with Corporate Affairs Victoria and ASIC.

Danni is a footy fanatic, and on weekends you’ll find her at the MCG or at Marvel Stadium watching her favourite football team, preferably with her much loved teenage son at her side.

Helping customers is what makes Tracey tick. As part of the client services team, she processes orders quickly and efficiently.

Having previously been with CST Documents for 14 years, Tracey brought with her invaluable client knowledge when the businesses joined in 2018. Her daily focus is helping customers with the Acis ordering system and any questions they may have.

Tracey has quite the flair in the kitchen and is well known for her delicious potato salad. On weekends, you’ll find her spending time with her family or baking mouth-watering desserts. We’re sure our invite is on it’s way.

You know a company is a great place to work when the staff keep coming back. Mick has been part of the fabric at Acis for 21 years, with his most recent stint hitting the 12-year mark.

There are no limits to Courtney’s design instincts and tenacity. Even the production of 36 custom documents in a single day didn’t phase Acis’ digital coordinator.

National Sales Director

The accounting and professional advisory sectors are in Marcus' DNA. He has operated in national sales roles for the past 12 years in addition to spearheading one of the industry's most respected annual papers, BStar's "Accountants' Research Report".

Marcus is a deeply connected industry operator, who sees his role at Acis as, quite simply, working with his clients to remove risk and help drive revenue. He facilitates the establishment of business and investment structures to support accountants and their clients, with a focus on relationship-based solutions.

While Marcus won't reveal the most challenging client request he's ever received, rumour has it that a bottle of red and some fast talking were involved.

When Marcus isn't on a plane or connecting with accountants and other professional advisors around the country, he can be found hanging from a kitesurf. We're not sure how that can possibly be relaxing, but Marcus is adamant he finds his zen when he's on the water.

Relationship Manager

You know a company is a great place to work when the staff keep coming back. Mick has been part of the fabric at Acis for 21 years, with his most recent stint hitting the 12-year mark.

Mick has the all important role of working alongside clients to ensure their expectations are exceeded each and every day. It's a diverse role and has seen Mick deal with some tricky client requests in his time. But that's all about taking care of clients no matter how challenging their issues.

Mick claims he can run 100 metres in 11 seconds, but we have our doubts. It's more likely you'll find him after work fishing, surfing, camping and wrangling his young family!

Relationship Manager

A career in hairdressing just wasn’t going to “cut” it for Melissa, when she was offered the opportunity to dive into a client support role at Sydney’s CST Documents.

Following the company’s integration with Acis, Melissa will continue to manage relationships with key clients throughout NSW.

No task is too challenging for Melissa, who once completed eighty super fund deed updates for a client in just a matter of days. That has to be a record of some sort.

Outside of her days taking care of Acis clients, Melissa is a passionate animal lover who spends as much time as possible with her toy poodle, Harvey. We’re also waiting for one of the delicious vegan meals she’s known to whip up. Hint! Hint!

Courtney constantly strives, no matter what it takes, to ensure the Acis brand is well represented wherever it is experienced.

Courtney sees her role as ensuring that clients understand everything they need to know about Acis products and services. She coordinates events, delivers campaigns and assists both the IT and sales teams to guarantee consistently high quality across the entire marketing programme.

When she’s not bending it like Beckham on the soccer pitch, Courtney enjoys random adventures – we’re still not entirely sure about these! – and some great conversation over a lazy Sunday brunch.

Finance Director

Acis clients tend to love the business so much, they join the company. This is the story for Mark, who left Esanda over 10 years ago to join the Acis family.

Mark's role requires him to be across the entire business on a daily basis, and pre-empt problems before they arise. His accounting skills are often called upon (as you'd imagine), and stretch to supporting clients, at times, with their reporting queries.

This sporty dad winds down by supporting hockey and rugby, enjoying time with his family, and possibly imbibing a drop or two of vino rosso when he finds a moment.

Technology Director

What a true company man! Having been part of the Acis family for well over half his life, Shane has personally witnessed, and been integral to, the evolution and fast-paced growth of the business.

Shane heads the enthusiastic IT services team that has developed the market-leading systems, processes and integrations which are essential to client workflows and to driving practice efficiencies.

When an opportunitypresents itself (which isn’t very often!), Shane can be found relaxing on aremote island somewhere in the Maldives, with, of course, his wife and fellowAcis team member, Belinda!

Production Manager

Paul keeps the engine room running at Acis, and has done for the past 10+ years. He is a stickler for quality control and consistency, and is the go-to man for ensuring all products are delivered on time, every time.

When he is not overseeing the team getting clients' documentation out the door, you will find Paul spending time with friends, or console gaming. And, if you’re wanting to see a cool party trick, ask Paul to show you his. You won't believe your ears...oops...we mean eyes.

Systems Assistant

In his three years with Acis, Frankie has taken the Nike mantra “Just Do It” to new heights.

As an avid NBA fan, Frankie follows athletes who know what it means to take on any challenge and get the job done. This is a responsibility he takes very seriously for Acis clients – he gets done whatever they need doing.

Frankie is responsible for managing client customisations, new services, system testing and management of Acis SuperDepot. If he’s not elbow deep in a customisation, you’ll probably find him elbow deep in a great meal – eating is his second favourite hobby after the NBA!
